Default Pets and AC nerfed?

Are pets a database issue or coding? They really stink currently.

Also, what's up with Armor Class seeming to have no effect on things or am I just missing something?

Thanks,

Purcevil

Why did you put this in World Building?? =====> Bug Reports

Anyway, AC isn't implemented correctly at all. It looks pretty, though, doesn't it!? I'm reworking some AC formulae, and they are thorny... I'm having a lot of trouble getting accurate AC according to EQLive data. I'm considering rewriting it to match our needs, but not be the same as eqlive. Eventually, AC will have a big impact on whether you get hit, and how much it hurts. Until we make those changes, it's pretty much worthless to adjust your AC gear.

Pets are also a bit broken. If you ever glance through the Development corner, you will see that killspree spotted a problem with slow, I've been rewriting AC and all melee formulae, and another guy spotted a bug in pets. If there is a problem, report it in detail, what is wrong (not enough pet AC, pet doesn't hit hard enough, pet has no HP, whatever it is) and with which pets in which zones against which guys. It never hurts to give too much detail.

If you know how things are broken, we would like your input. Anyone can offer help in development, world building, or tutorial writing.
