Default File Troubles

Hey all, heres the thing.

When I start up eqw and tell it to go to my alternate eqgame.exe file it starts to load eq beta 2.32 or whatever but then I get a full screen License Agreement. After ctrl+alt+del it shows me that Beta 2.32 AND regualr everquest are running all I can do is kill regular EQ then Beta wont work properly and have to kill that as well. Any suggestions are greatly apprecaited because....this is annoying.

that post is kinda confusing.
first of all why are you useing eqw? just make a .bat file to run eqgame in your eq dir, it works the same. this will get rid of your (if i read that post correctly) 2nd eq.
make a shortcut of your batchfile and put it in the eqemu directory and your golden..
-edit- the batch file should look like this...

eqgame patchme

Default Batch File

Yeah your going to have to walk me through this sorry. So getting rid of eqw is fine, no problem there. However when I try to run the file it gives me please run everquest.exe which i assume is wrong because it just starts patching. If you have any Instant messenger it would help me tons

Thanks again

create a new text document with notepad
--startmenu
----run
type in notepad
after notepad comes up type in
eqgame patchme
then --save as
where it says "Save as type" change "Text Documents" with "All Files (*.*)"
where it says "File name" type in eq.bat

then find your everquest directory and hit save

to make a shortcut
--find the .bat file you made
--right click on it and select copy
--go to another directory (like the eqemu one)
--right click again and hit select paste shortcut
