Default Creating a Server for private use?

Hi,
I have a quick question. I am in the process of installing EQemu 5.0 and I wanted to ask some questions. From what I understand when you setup your server it gets displayed on some login listing server with other servers. I don't want anyone other than the people I know logging into my server. Is there a way to block users from accessing my server from the master list? I only want to run my server for 5 or 10 people I know personally. Anyone with any info, please post here.

Thanks
John

Default eqemu for private use

no we will not help u to make eqemu for private use , as i belive as well as many others regard this is just pure selfishness to the whole eqemu community. why should we help u when u didn;t contributed to our community. !!!!!!!!
look at the hardwork the developers put into this and u just take it way and use your private use ? i will gladly help u out a good cause but not as it;s too selfish !!
really behind this point people !!

Draugr,

Ask this in a support forum:

and just ignore Zedd

EDIT: As Mattmeck mentions below, here is another thread asking for the more or less the same thing as you:

As for being selfish! FU! All I want to do is run a server that I can share with my friends. I don't have the bandwidth or time to support massive amounts of logins. I have around 10 people max that I used to play EQ live with. I'd love to setup a server for them to be able to play on with me again. I'm not interested in blocking out the community because I want to be a prick, I just don't want nor can afford an influx of people accessing the server. I used to run a UO server and we were able to make a shard private or limit the amount of users that could access it, so preserving my bandwidth wasn't a problem. I'll read the posts that had links to relevent topics. Thanks to those who tried to help point me in the right direction and FU to the Dik! who had nothing relevent to my questions.
