Default patch

have you patched to live by runung everquest normaly?

and make sure you changed your eqhost to the corect settings as the server your trying to connect to if you are conecting to if you are trying to connect to the eqemu public servers make sure your eqhost file in your everquest directory reads

Quote:
[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997"
}
after you are patched and eqhost is edited select run from the start menu and brows to your eqgame .exe file in everquest folder.

Double click on eqgame and then type (with a space) patchme after what you see in the run box

press enter or click ok

should look like this or similar

Quote:
"C:\Program Files\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme
Hope that helps

You dont need expansions to play. Only the basic everquest client patched to live as of today

If you still cant connect try switching what ports are listed in the eqhost.txt from 5997 to 5999 (Im not sure which port number they are using try both)

WARNING DO NOT PATCH AGAIN AFTER YOU GET IT WORKING !!!
it could break it. excpecialy after Dec 16 2003 I here there is a big patch on that date.

Thank you for your help.
I think i forgott somehing, i get the Error:1042 with the languages.
I have the German Version. Must i have the English one?
When yes where can i download the English Speak Packe?

Ps:Sorry for bad English but I am from Austria.

Ps2:I have the European Version. Now i changed the Language to English. Could i help me by my problem? (I only ask because EQ is downloading files after that, and i don't want to waste time on something that couldn't help me with my problem)

Ps3: I dont know what you mean with live?? I only startet EQ than it patched automattical and i dont see any thing that is named live or so.

Default not sure

I am not sure if you need the english version I would run your everquest and let it download the files
( this is known as patching to live )

after that try switching out your eqhost and see if it works if not you may need to buy an english version but I am not sure if there is any difrences as the core game is the same. You may need to ask a developer on this I am not sure. if there is a selection to switch your game to use english i would try that too just in case.

I am sorry I am not of more help Im kind of new to this myself all you can do is sit tight and pray a Developer or support helper stumbles on your question. If I find out anything more ill post it

I suspect your version will work if you let it download all the files.

merry Christmas
