A couple newbie questions

First of all, this is insanely sweet. I have the jitters.

I'm at work and can't try it yet, and I have read everything there is to read, I think.

Can you play on other people's server or only your own? Reading through the read me it seems like only your own.

If you can play on others, after I connect through the gotfrags login server, will these servers show?

After I install all of this, will I still be able to play on Verants servers, if so what configs will I need to change?

Do characters that you make save?

Yes...

You can play on your own server, or on someone else's servers and yes , you can still play on Verants servers...


Everything you need to know is documented.. Download it, read through the instructions (even if you dont want to run your own, it will tell you how to connect to ours)

It really is a great product. Its still in very early stages (but amazingly advanced for being so young) so it's not like the verant servers, alot of things are still being worked out, but overall, its pretty damn incredible.

I'm looking in the wrong place I think. The read me goes through on how to create your own server using the gotfrags login server or the mini. I prob wouldnt want to start my own and connect to another. Can you point me in the right direction?

I'm sure there are bugs but who cares, this is so sweet.

read the first part of the readme. where it talks about EQW and eghost.txt

P.S. if you want to connect to verents servers again....just start up EQ with the origonal shortcut. The patcher program will automaticly fix your settings.
