Default It Works !!

alright got it going now, just a few things i dont know if there supposed to be like that or not after killing a mob they instantly spawn back at there spawn point and triggers dont active rings or events and such, and a fwe models are all outta wack like in PoTactis some of the giants are just normal humans with there name. and thats about it really. im using eqemu53.dr2 and DB is mw_052_053_alpha2 along with MyraDB, Myraitems, and MyraPoP. at first i only had mw_052_053_alpha2 and saw that no merchants sold anythign and no mobs ever droped anything so i tried adding myra's and didnt see change.

any suggestions on what i can do?

and thanx again for all your help

Simple.. merchants dont have loot ids set, and sourcing a completely different DB (Myra's) into the MW DB will most likely cause a hell of a lot more problems (think npcs with conflicting id's, duplicate npcs, different safepoints, etc).

the MW db is by far complete, as in saying that some features like loot and such aren't complete. As the MW team has gone from many people back down to 1 or 2 again, it will be a few before you see a DB (unless TCS is killing his ass getting a release together, and wouldn't doubt).

As the MW db didnt seem to have any loot and the Myra db merchants didnt seem to have any wears, and both DB's seemed to be based on a common source (Dwardes) i loaded MW's and dropped the loot tables added the loot tables form Myra's. This seemed to work quite well, they are both good DB's.

This is odd... Myra's is derrived from the DB we use on our server (she removed the customizations and adjusted mob levels to eqlive standards). The merchants are fine here. I know she even included extra items that were missing from the items db so that loot and merchants are right.

Our server (and therefore Myra's) is a combination of Dwarde's, Telmet's and some other odds and ends we have merged together over time. We also have some "designer" zones, but Myra doesn't include those.

Yeah, I have no problem with merchants using Myra's db. From the little research I have done and if you look at this post, where I posted, you will see there are places where the two db's are totally different and I had to do MINI-merges, so merging them just by sourcing one over the other will definatly cause some serious issues. I would definately give the source order I specified in my post a try, as I have NO problems (less the ones we already know about, such as fear and some zone points and etc.... ).

Scorp your server rocks.. Keep up the good work.
