Someone Please Help

Ok this all started last night.

I got disconnected from Guildwars Server which isnt that big of a deal I thought. (little did i know) Although this time i got disconnected from my account aslo. Eh, its happened before not that big of a deal, so i tried reconnecting, and it said I had a bad username/password.

So i went to bed thinking it might get fixed in the morning, and it didnt. So I logged on with my friends account to check if it was a problem with my internet. I was able to get on and i read that EQemu is purging old accounts, well here is the problem i never made an account on the forums. Im not exactly sure how my friend made the account but it had something to do with EQ Live. So I thought I could outsmart it by making the same account name and password on your forums.

This worked I was able to connect to the server list, although when i tried to connect to any server on the list i got the 1017 error that i needed to run a patch. Now i know that the new patch for EQ Live doesnt work for EQemu yet so I decided to try logging in with my friends account again. He was able to establish connection with any server without getting the 1017 error. Now this is all from the same computer, so it cant be a problem with my connection or patch. I think my account is bugged. Someone please help.

Having the exact same problem, and have noticed others having it to. Only difference is that I didnt get a disconect, but tried this morning and it didnt work. Can't even log onto the 0.5.5 Server (1017) Havent patched, no firewall, havent touched my computer since friday, Just tried to log in, got the username/password error, made a new account with the same username and password, and now I get the 1017 error...

Its becuase they had to go and purge the accounts that didnt sign up using the forum sign-up. So now i tried making a new account and I cant use this email address, and apparently every email address using www.mail.com doesnt work. Wow somebody must have been spamming email addresses off of <name>@dr.com surprising honestly.

Is that a web based email account?

yes mail.com is web based.

If you read the rules you would know that you are not allowed to use web based email to use when creating accounts anyhow..... Just an FYI.
