Default Router help.

I *h8* my router. That being said, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to forward port ranges via the setup. One port at a time is no problem, but I'm being to think I bought a craptastic router(*).

It's a SpeedStream 2604 4-Port DSL/Cable Router, made by Siemens<immature>HEHEHE</immature>. URL to the info page is here. And the setup view of the port range forwarding is here. Any ideas?

(*) - I constantly tried to spell router as routher.

the picture you posted links to a Special Application setting. i think you want to forward a port, so you'll get that in the Virtual Servers

In that screen, add configurations that map a port of the router to one of your PCs, i.e. the EQEMu server. In this screen :

- check enable
- give a name (e.g EQEMU_world_TCP)
- select PC you want to forward to (this is your server)
- protocol varies according to port. i can't remember which is used by which port atm. Allow both for safety (doing double configuration)
- set ext. port (9000) and intern port (leave the same)
- add this conf. by hitting the add button
Do this for each port /protocol you want to forward to your EQEMU host.

The list of ports can be found in Tutorials, under one of the guides or posts (look for NAT keyword). if i remberber well, you'll need :
9000 for world listening
7999, 7998 ... for each of the zones servers you want available

5997 needs not be forwarded afaik, but doing so doesn't cost you much.

hope this helps.
