Default EQ Live update - still compatible?

Just wanted to let people know that there was an update on the server today. I don't know if the changes they made to weather and the eqgame.exe made eqemu incompatible with live or not but thought this info should be posted so people could check it out...

Hopefully they fixed the graphics issues since the previous sky patch, that messed everything up.

No, April 14th patch broke Emu. Don't patch unless you have a bacukp.

Five ETA requests on new version already, let's see how many we get this time? :P

Hehe :P , my backup copy was too old (only a month but still too old) and I did download the update... And my EQ live subscription just ran out again... Guess I get to take a break from the world of EQ. And I just got 5.5 working! ARGH!!!

(Anybody want to email me a 5.5 version of the eqgame.exe? Just Kidding!!) Mostly

PS - how many posts are needed before a newbie stops being a newbie? I don't post much but I've been around awhile.

One thing that could prevent those situations would be to add a banner in top of Forum, right under FAQ/Search/Memberlist/Usergroup/Profile/Message/Log out) showing EQEmu status. Like,

EQEmu STATUS : BROKEN
EQEmu version : 0.5.5
14th April patch broke EQEmu. You will not able to log into a server if you apply last EQLive patch, so don't patch unless you have a backup.

I know its under NEWS section of the forum, but the only thing newcomers want is having their EQEmu server running quickly, and i dont think they always think to go into NEWS section.
