just a few questions from a newbie

I quit EQ around a year back now. I am awaiting Everquest 2 but i can't wait for it i NEEED to play evercrack of some kind :p. I really don't want to sign up for a paying everquest account again. Will this tool enable me to play everquest for free? obviously the game content is different etc. From the way i interpret what is said about this program, it sounds like you can join servers run by players rather than SOE? like in ultima online there is thousands of player run servers that anyone can join for free.

if the above is correct. Which CD's of everquest need to be installed? i have all the expansion packs up to planes of power will i need to install all of them?

Finally what programs are necessary to download from here to do this?

I know someone is gonna say read the stickies but i never saw anything about what i ask here.

While you are waiting, read the forums and try to understand what EQEMU is and how is works. You will find all the information that you want.

i see. thankyou for your help. what do u mean by wait for the servers to catch up? was there a recent Live patch and these free servers haven't been updated by the servers admin yet? (sorry but i don't understand much about this at all :p)

The current live patched client will not connect to any of the current servers. You will need to wait for a new server release from the Devs.
