Default Whats up with this crap ...eqhost does not exist

Why in the hell does it say it cannnot find EQHOST.TXT when I try to connect when the friggen file is sitting in the EQ directory with the correct info. Is my computer screwed up or something....whats wrong I re-extracted all the files into the eq directory again to make sure but the thing thinks eqhost.txt does not exist when it is right there

If no one knows the answer as to why this is happening plz tell me cuz then ill just redo the stff or something

Somone help me out plz...just this one friggen thing is screwing the thing up....

Oh I have a question....could it be the fact that I have a lan (Roadrunner) be the reason that its not recognizing or seeing that the file eqhost.txt does exish....do i have to configure it differently for LAN? All i want to do is play, not create my own server

ok, here is a lowtech way to check out what is going on.

Open a dos prompt, change directories to your everquest folder and type the following
Code:
dir eqhost*.*> eqhosts_result.txt
type eqhost.txt >> eqhosts_result.txt
attach the file that creates (eqhosts_result.txt) to your reply

You can read the text file to possibly figure out what is wrong yourself.
