Default Questionable Help...

I imagine it's against the devs and posters to say what files should be backed up...

but how about just in general? like do you need to back up zones? etc? everything?

If I'm crossing boundaries.. please let me know. Or am I just talking out of my ass?

Or how about a rundown in pig latin?

Thanks

Actually I was telling people once what files needed to be backed up but that was while I still was playing an active account. The devs just don't want you asking for the files. Telling people back up file1, file2, file3...etc wouldn't be a problem as long as people don't start asking for the files. Once people start asking for the files the devs would pull it and probably not allow someone to do that.

1) only patch when the emu is updated...

2) backup the whole EQ directory

3) backup the most troublesome files
(at work, so not the exact file names)
DO NOT ASK FOR THESE FILES!
eqgame.exe
eqgame.dll
eq_dx8.dll
eqspell.dat

There may be another one that usually causes trouble when it changes. Your odds of not having trouble increase for each file you back up :p

DO NOT ASK FOR THESE FILES!
