Default Help setting up

I setup 6.0 dr+2. I am also running win xp. I have no problem connecting to everyone elses eqemu server. But when I go to coneect my server I can log in and make a char then is says zone unavaliable. I been reading thru the post. I tried make another database to see if that was the problem. still does it. But then I can across a post about win xp and built in firewall. A couple days before I remember that it was on and I am wondering If I set it to off. would it fix this problem? But I also I notice on the world.exe it said connecting.... to IP.XX.XX so & so. but it does not says zone #1 connect to XX.XX.XX I am wondering maybe I need to wait a little bit before tring to login for the zone to connect. any ideas?

Turn it off to test it. I did in my server since it prevents other clients in my lan to connect.
