Default Use of the .map files

Well I get all the way to zoning to east commonlands and it drops the game.
All kind of errors in world and boot zone windows. Whe I relogin it shows my char. in east commonlands but says zone not available or when it let's me in the zone is only the sky and the rest is an identifiable grey. If I walk around nothing changes, no npcs, no sand, trees, grass, crits. I figure I must need the map files, so I dled them but I don't know what to do with them next. If someone could tell me or if something else needs to be done please let me know. Freeport works as it is supposed to. when I zone from area to area inside all works, along with the noobie area outside.
Thanx John

The map files go in ur eqemu directory under a folder called maps. Second the grey could be cause by not haveing the most uptodate compatible patch for eqemu. 12/15/04 would be the patch you need. Ive found that people using certain files from 5.7 patch can only see grey untill they patch to 6.0.
