Default POP Books Info

I'm using a modified PEQKunark Server and I've taken a look at the POP Books.. For a few of the books there is all the information needed for them to work. Like the one in the Field of Bone, all the info is in the database but when you click on the book nothing happens ?!? Why is that ?!?

Do you need to have the perl enabled version to have to POP books working ?
And, If not then how do you get them working ?

********* EDIT EDIT EDIT ***************
Nevermind the above, I have it working now by changing a setting in the DB. What I would like to know now is can I make a boat at the end of the docks that a player can click to be ported to another continent just like the POP books work. I understand the item has to me listed as a door... Does anyone have a listing of Door/Door Item IDs? For example the other clicky port pads like in Felwitheb to get to some of the guilds what are the IDs for stuff like that ?
