joining a server

I just found out today that it's good to play, so I logged on in and joined some college of kanas server. I went afk for 10 mins, come back, and I went ld'd. I then try to get in all hte other servers on the list, but for some reason I can't join any. I patched about a month ago, and it says to me, try updating patch, which I don't believe is my correct path for a solution. It also says error before it tells me that. In essance, i'm in need of assistance, of someone who can explain to me what my course of action should be. THanks in Advance!

The server yo uwere able to connect to, what version was it? The new version is 0.6.2 which, if yo uwant to connect to, you need to patch before next week due to the oncoming expansion.

But whatever version you were able to connect to is going to be what your limited to connecting with unless you patch

well, the only servers that i've been able to play on were 6.2 legit one at the top, I can't connect to 6.1's at all. and alot of the 6.2's either, i'm wondering if I patch will it fix anything, or if it's just a waste of time. If it will help things plz tell me, so I can do this before it's too late, I only have 3 days if i'm not mistaken.

well, it turns I'm I"m an idiot, and I"m very impatient today, so I decided to just patch it and pray. I turns out now I can't even log in to the server screen, it says something about my user name and password, so i'm not sure whats going on. but I'm guessing I shouldn' thave patched like a retard that I am. guess I just gotta waaaaaaaaait agaaaaain. :(

if it turns out i'm not retarded, and i'm not an idiot. then plz let me know..

I would try to log in again..I think it still works..But if you were playing on PEQ and patched again thats not smart. I would stick with PEQ for now and wait till there is more news about the 6.2DR1 servers. You can only play on 6.2DR1 servers at this point. And PEQ is by far the most stable server there is.(Im considering uptime+longterm availability+least amount of errors)

but there is only one server I can connect to, and it's the legit one. and it has 6.2, not 6.1, cause I've tryed playing on the 6.1's, and it doesn't work. I really want to play on non legit one, because i've played EQ legit for over 6 years, and I'd rather play with summoning items and what not, because I need a breath of fresh air, Knights online didn't give me the breath I needed, and only thing that will at this point is eqemu.

your just going to have to stick it out a bit and play on the PEQ server. until the few issues are resovled with the 6.2 release. you won't be seeing many other 6.2 servers till there fixed. Also with a client to play on 6.2 it is not compatible to the 6.1 servers you would have had to back up your eq directory before patching to live.
