Angry Nothing showing up.

Ok, I just got a new computer, and DL'ed EverQuest to the latest update... got the backpatch files (Copied to a CD) Everything runs really fast... however when I log into the server, All of my characters are there. But they do not show up... I can log in, but only the names show up.

If anyone can help me that would be great.

That sounds more like an error with your computer, not the server. Get the latest drivers for your graphics card, update your operating system...etc.

Malignus is right, this is not a server issue, this is an issue with your computer. Someone on my server had the same problem and i was standing next to them with no issue whatsoever.

Make sure your graphics card has the newest driver, or if its a beta driver, try downgrading to the newest release before the beta. Sometimes beta drivers have issues.

More than likely this is going to be your issue.

This is probably due to not having the correct render effects. Or having them located in the wrong folder.

6.1dr1 uses a client that contains rendereffects in the main directory with no sub directories, while 6.2 uses a client that has two subdirectories for its rendereffects.

If there is no ground, not really any sky, no toon, but his name. And you can see the menu for character selection, then I would focus on this before doing anything else.

It is a Rendereffects folder issue, I just fixed it. Not UI.

Unfortunately, yes, it involves getting old files.
