Default Starting Up Server

I've been trying to open my own server in minilogin as well as public but whichever I try, when I start up zones I get errors. Even World.exe gets a few errors, but it can still run. The zones just crash on me.

These are the errors I get in World.exe and the program that runs 5 zones on Win98:

I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with MySQL or the database. Was wondering if anyone has a clue what's wrong? Thanks in advance

You either don't have your database sourced into mysql or you have a badly corupted database. Try droping your database and resourcing it.

I tried replacing db.sql, and it didn't work.
I reinstalled everything and patched and all, and it didn't work.

Maybe the file downloadable on the site is corrupt?

First of all, why are you getting zone errors? you saw that you got world errors and thought it would just go away? BLAH

secondly, your database is bad. use the default one and follow the readme exactly. did you type "source db.sql" ??

Heh I didn't think everything else would run fine after World.exe's errors, but I just thought I'd show it if it would help.

I created the database and entered the source and everything. I think it's just the file itself. I never had these errors before the latest version, so my configurations must be right. Just have no idea why the file is giving me problems.

You must have zone servers connected to the world (and it might take a while to update)

well if it means anything, I'm seeing a lot of errors and "mysql server has gone away"

right now I have 8 ms-dos windows open, i ran minilogin.exe, world.exe, and then boot5zones.bat, and when i opened the .bat file i had dos windows popping up all over the place. I don't know if the errors are supposed to be there or not, if they arn't, how am i to get rid of them?

If your getting errors don't expect things to work till you get rid of the errors!

Do a search of the boards for "mysql server has gone away"

If you have a router for your internet it can cause the server went away. I went in and let down the ports that are in the boot5zone file and it fixed that.
