the reccomended way is to use the default loginserver.ini setup (with your IP and server name changed of course). the steps in the first part of the readme explain how to set up the server from start to scratch and will be listed on the loginserver list.

as long as you set it up right (like use your Real IP instead of 127.0.0.1 or localhost) then everyone can connect and play.

i have it set up just as the readme says.
but when i try to connect with my other pc, i get "cant connect to server. may need to re run patch, ect...

login .ini reads

loginserver=eqlogin1.eqemu.org
loginserver2=eqlogin2.eqemu.org
loginport=5999
loginport2=5999
worldname=myworldname
locked=false
account=my accountname
password=mypassword
worldaddress=myipaddress

am i missing something ?

p.s. world.exe, and boot5zones both load up exactly like the read me says it should, word for word.

Okay i found a new problem..

seems you have Cronic emu readability syndrom.

i came to this conclusion becuase of the account/password in loginserver.ini. if you read the readme.txt it says:

">>!!!!!Account and password should be left blank unless the Admin for EQEmu Loginserver has made an account for you. If they have then put the account and password they gave you.!!!!!!"

Default No they didn't

account & password section is ONLY for devs

Us normal peons don't get one

All it does is allow for a GREEN server.

The account name and PW you got was only to log into EQ

next readme.txt should be a little more clear on this issue.
