Default VS2005 - Include and lib question

I was following the wiki on setting up VS2005 but two things have me a bit worried.

1) When I selected the project, VS told me that it was from an older version of the suite and needed conversion. That doesn't seem right...

2) The Wiki says to add paths to the C++ options. that page in the options has a selection for include paths, but I cannot find anything in any of the options for the library paths. Where do those go?

Thanks!

I use VS2005 Pro and if you follow that guide in the wiki it will work perfectly. It doesn't really matter where your include files are on your hard drive as long as you set the path right in VS. It also seems like the thing about VS2005 Pro messing up perl has been fixed. My server doesn't crash when you hail people and quests all work perfectly.

EDIT:: I just thought about what you are actually asking and it seems like you are using 2k5 Express. if that is the case I'm not sure. I have never used express :(

Oh yes, sorry - its the express version. ANd to be clear, I was asking where in the VS(express) properties dialog do I put the path to the libraries.

I should probably just go buy the pro version...

It is a pretty huge download. But heres a 90 day free trial, straight from Microsofts site. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

They make you register and it emails you a cd-key good for 90 days. But for free you can't argue with 30 seconds worth of registering
