Did you set the password field of the accounts table?

Its a table stored in MySQL, so you will need to get a free MySQL front end editor (MySQLcc, MySQL Front or MySQL Administrator) and edit the Accounts table that way. You can also go the command line route, but unless you are savvy with cmdline and MySQL, I would go with the GUI editor.

There is a table named 'accounts' and inside that table is a column named 'password'. This column has to be set to something in order to enable login to the webserver for that account.
