Default Making logins

Hi,

I've been an EQ fan for ages, and I always wanted to play offline as it were. Why, just so I can have a fiddle more than anything else. I tried the EthernalQuest, nice, it worked easy out the box, but, only doing 1 dmg was pretty naff, and many mobs multi spawned, couldnt mem my spells other stuff seemed to work but, I went looking on..

I found eqemu, people raving about it. Firstly, Im gutted that it doesnt work out of the box, (having read threads) because of changes in the May patch. I wanted to see it in action, so I thought, Id make me a login.

Sadly, it seems that my email address doesnt count as valid, even though, it just let me make an account to write this message and sent an Email to me.

Lookin forward to the working version of eqemu.. Havent seen info to sign up for a newsletter to say theres a new version though...

This looks good, if it works, but, its sad that I cant see it in action.

If you have a yahoo/hotmail/(insert common email type here) account, it probably won't let you sign up. Try with a valid one like tma888@gte.thx.pofftumble.com or whatever it is you have. Don't use the common ones; use the one your ISP gave you (unless you have AOL, in which case, I'd cry) :(

Actually it was the reverse which was true for me, my proper domain name'd one (I assume it wasnt liked as its a .co.uk address) wasnt accepted, but my yahoo one was..

That strikes me as silly!

Sadly, it still doesnt let me make a character on hoggie, even if it does let me login.

It just times out during the character creation.
