Default Back to the drawing board? (perl)

Well After tackling a stupid database issue which prevented logins, i went to check out quests/npc's etc and to my surprise, 5.8.7 doesn;t seem to work on windows either?

I find it completely strange, I even dropped the perl/bin directory in the eqemu directory and no go.

Just out of curiosity, we are not *forced* to have eqemu files IN C:\EQEmu are we? being I am a fan of cleanliness and clean code I got my server files in a directory that is the same name as the server.
