Default Not Reading eqemu_config.xml?

Anyone else having this problem?
I've read the Wiki, And any forum post about this.

Code:
Code:
Failed to open log file: logs/eqemu_debug_world_####.log
[Debug] [WORLD__INIT] Loading Server configuration..
Unable to load 'eqemu_config.xml' : Failed to open file
[Debug] [WORLD__INIT] Loading Server configuration failed.
Now, I know eqemu_config.xml is in the same folder as World.exe
And I can't seem to see the problem (I've even redid the file 3 times
Anyone know the answer?

Code:

Which operating system are you running? I am guessing that it isn't Windows XP.

Oh, if you are running XP, then it sounds like your folders just aren't setup properly. In your C:\EQEmu\ directory, you should have a directory named "logs" and a few other directories like "maps", "quests", "templates", "plugins" and others. If you are getting that error about it not being able to create the log file, then either your directories aren't setup right or you are pointing to the wrong place in the start.bat or something.

As for the issue with the config file, it is probably related to your logs error. Otherwise, maybe you accidentally saved it as a .txt file extension after you edited it.

Make sure that when you save the file, you are either just doing a normal "save", or if you do a "save as", you need to make sure to set it to save as "All file types" in the drop down box under where the file name is. By default, it will want to save it as a .txt file, which won't even show up in windows explorer unless you have "hide known file types" disabled.

Also, you might want to make sure you created your start.bat properly.
