Default Complex Sky causing issues

Hey all - I have an ATI Radeon HD 4xxx series card, when I have Sky - Complex settings on, I get strange blocks, lines, etc., coming on the screen

here's an example

any ideas as to how this might be resolved?

Also, FULLSCREEN mode refuses to work in any configuration, I just get a black EQ screen with cursor still functioning.

Thanks

I have no idea about the black blocks, but full screen fails for work for me (win XP). It crashes EQ completly, and for everyone else that plays on my server, they also experience problems with full screen.

The black boxes is called artifacts. Ninety percent of the time it is because your graphics card is using drivers and software that are too advanced for the game and no longer supports the older technology that the client uses. you can play in windowed mode and just keep the sky turned off. Or you can try different drivers. This happens to my new computer as well.
