Default 65536 failed login attempts since I last logged in.

My friend, who had just installed it on his computer yesterday and has it working perfectly fine for him, installed EQEMU on my computer today. I went to play it and clicked the wrong launcher so it launched the Sony updater and completely updated. I went to log in and got the appropriate server list. I tried to join a server and got an error. I told him what happened and he called me an idiot. I promptly uninstalled and reinstalled, having him do it all again. I went to log in now and one of two things happen.

1: I log in and see no servers on the list, the little scrolling message saying 'You own 0 of 0 expansions.'

2: A message stating that 'There have been 65536 failed login attempts since you last logged in.' and I, after clocking ok, I see no servers on the list and the scrolling message says 'You own 8 of 21 expansions. You own...-

Whichever occurs, every so often the message 'Error - A timeout occurred' pops up.

If you update with the regular patcher even a tiny bit it wont work to connect to EQemulator login servers. You must reinstall and fix the files again.
However, i think the entire Login Server is down right now so it dont matter at the moment.

I may have called him an idiot, but he did reinstall and any help in solving this problem would be great.

I'm not sure an unintsall/reinstall would work correctly. If you haven't done so already, I would recommend you delete the entire directory and for best results, install into a completely different directory. I'm pretty sure nothing meaningful goes to the registry on an install, but I could be wrong.

Uninstalling, deleting the leftover folder and reinstalling has fixed the issue, thank you.
