Default Got far without help, now I need help

I didn't want to annoy anyone with questions so I figured everything out with the help of the wonderful readme.txt, well I followed the insructions for making my own server via miniserver, and had fun enjoying gm abilities hehe. I didn't realize that my friend couldn't join these games, so now I need to follow the instructions for the public server, however I am confused about one thing, it says change the ip adress of the public login server, how do I figure this numver out? Thanks to the creators for all the wonderful files for this great program, and thanks for all the people who log on to here to offer help, thank you.

There's a website you can go to, i forgot the name of it... But if you use a dial up connection, or your ip isn't static, you'll have to do that every time you reconnect, because your ip will change. you can also find out through windows, but we need to know what os you're using...

www.whatismyip.com will open a web page that tells your internet IP address. Use that one. If you have a router, you will need to configure it. Search for posts dealing with that.
