Default Disconnection 10 seconds after logging in

Why would I be disconnected everytime I login to my server hosted on eqemu? It looks like I am losing packets as the numbers in the middle keep going higher until I am disconnected. I am running the server on my localsystem so I cant see how I am losing data ..

any ideas???

I also noted that I am getting the following errors reported in the cmd window for world.exe:

Unknown opcode: 0x3521 size:2056
Unknown opcode: 0x3921 size:2056

Unknown opcode: 0x001f size:0
Unknown opcode: 0xffc0 size:0
Unknown opcode: 0x79f3 size:0
Unknown opcode: 0xfff0 size:0
Unknown opcode: 0x9220 size:12

any thoughts?

One thing to check is the datarate.txt file. Make sure it's not something like 5. I did a clean install of eq and couldn't figure out when I went LD everytime I loaded. Checked datarate, found that it was 5, moved it up to 9 and my LD problems went away. May not fix your problem but its a start.

Ya I thought of that and checked and it was set for 9 allready, however I tried running it with the minilogon and all localhost settings and I still got the packet loss even tho I was running both eq and eqemu on the same system.

Very strange.

probably the problem.....that you running both eqemu and eq on the same machine......eq will take up all resources and you will go LD as soon as you log in =(. if you are using a WinNT based OS try setting the priority of eqgame.exe to low in the taskmanager

I run EqEmu on both Win98 and 2k with both on the same machines and don't really go LD all the time. 2k is more robust I've noticed but the 98 machine gets the job done.

I'm having the same problem while trying to connect to the servers. I've tried putting the datarate to both 7.0 and 9.0, but to no avail. It seems strange, though, because it was working yesterday, and with the datarate of 5.0. Any other recommendations?

Sounds like you should stay away from logging in altogether!

I actually found this problem as well.. it seems to be affected after installing a new sql database.. i dont know if my terminology is correct but i believe that is what the problem is.. as i have unzipped the package agian and just used the normal .sql file and it worked fine when i loaded up (or tryed to eqemu 3.6 addon.zip) i got the same 10 second deal agian =o

it is annoying =)
