Default Linksys Router - Zone Error 10061 - Any way around it?

I have a Linksys router on my cable connection to the internet. I am aware of all the ip issues there are with it. I have spent several days and trial and errored dozens of ip configurations just trying to find one that will allow me to host a server with eqemu but the zone server hits 10061 every single frickin time.

Is there anyone who has a linksys router and is able to host or am I pretty much up the creek?

Thanks!

I have a linksys router and I can host just fine, just make sure you open up all the ports and a few more just in case.

Wow im such a dork- how easy that was to fix. So instead of being a jerk and just saying thanks, I'll let everyone know what happened and how I fixed it.

Problem: Every time i load up the Zone servers, I get an error 10061. The world boots fine.

The Fix (If you have a Linksys):
1)Go to your own ip (192.168.1.1), log in. If you have never logged in before, the pw and login is both 'admin'.

2) Click the orange tab that says 'Advanced'

3) Click on the Forwarding Tab

4) Under the 'Service Port Range' column, enter 7995 in the first box, and 8000 to the left of it in the next box. At the end of the ip address, set the box to '100' from '0'. On the next line, set the port range to be both '9000' and again set the end of the ip to '100' from '0'. Press Apply and you should be in business!

I hope this helps others fix their troubles.

Does the router still give you the little message warning about DHCP and forwarding if you have DHCP running? It's been a while since I've looked at one.
