Login problems

Hello,

Having trouble logging in..
At the login screen, sometimes it just sits at 'Logging in to server... Please Wait' for an unspecified amount of time. Sometimes it gets me through to server seclect, but rarely to character select.

I was able to make a character on StormHaven, but the last couple times I was able to get to character select on proj99 server, it would go to a black screen with 'SERVER IS NOT RESPONDING' ..

Any help greatly appreciated.

What client are you using ? Your last post said you had downloaded an incompatible version of RoF.

Assuming you have a compatible client (P99 only supports their modded version of Titanium http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2651 ), your symptoms could be a dodgy Internet connection. If you have any high-bandwidth apps running (e.g. video streaming, BitTorrent, etc.) try pausing them while you try to connect. If you are using WiFi, try a wired connection and see if that helps.

Using the Titanium Client.. Running Cable internet with no other apps running.
Right before this issue started happening, I was restarting the game to try and fix a screen bug. The Screen would turn completely purple, and would flash very quickly... first time its ever happened.

I also am having this problem. for a whole year i connected fine. it seems this problem comes and goes. i also have comcast.ill go over whats happening.

90% of the time i connect to the server select screen, there are no servers shown, it is blank. i would have to connect 20 or so times before i can successfully get to the character select screen. (there are also a few errors that may pop up in this connection process, and sometime when i get to the character select screen, it tells me my spell file is out dated.. i have to disconnect and start over.)

once i'm finally on the server, there is about a 70% chance i will zone crash and be back to a blank server screen for another 20 logins.

this seems like a fairly common problem from what i'v read. im sure theres a fairly simple fix.

I can sympathize if you're having issues, but posting the exact same thing in four threads will more likely result in you being ignored rather than helped...

sorry, im new to forums, not sure how all this works. i figured id get somebodies attention.... but this is indeed ridiculous. connecting to the eqemu host should be fairly clean cut.

then why dont i see any servers? after editing the eqhost it should just connect. i havent been able to just -Login>select server>select character>play- in a 'clean cut' manner in over a month
