Question EQEmu mysteriously vanishes from computer/ problems with setting up new client

i play on the Project 1999 server. I played a few days ago but today i noticed the icon i had onthe desktop to play vanished, i used the eq exe file with the edited properties to "log in" to EQ emu servers instead of sonys like the "Getting started" link on the P1999 website stated (now it doesnt say that, maybe that has something to do with this?)

anyway i downloaded the new client and i have titanium installed, when i go to
options, folder path and click on my EQ directory under program files it tells me "that is not the correct everquest directory" when in fact it is.

possible different issue:

and when i click on "login servers" on this website, and tried using my
loginserver name it doesn't work which has me worried someone might have hacked me, and i've never told a soul my password/login. no one knows it, its not written down, its not saved in my emails or in any files.

is there any way a mod can tell if someone else used my account from a different I.P other than my own?
