Hello! New here, wondering which server is most true to SOE version.

Thought I should introduce myself;

My name is Shane, and I am a former SOE EQ veteran that fell away several years ago because of all the post "Planes of Power" nerfings. I felt a little vexed when I started seeing all these trendy little rich kids come on and in days have characters that dwarfed some of the greatest veterans of Triality and of course, my brother and I's guild, Ministry of Pain (I am not Drakularr btw, that is my little bro, for those that know the Vazelle Server vets). So after years of farming Aquagoblin Heads/Steins and camping Haddon, I called it quits.

Some ime has passed and my wife and I simply can't find quite the same enjoyment in other MMO's. I have max level toons in Jade Dynasty, Forsaken World, WoW, and many other MMO's but I simply do miss EQ.

Curious, which server here is closest to the regular online servers. I don't ind it being outdated, since I didn't enjoy the latest game expansions I played anyway. The fact that it is free is awesome, I will be sure to donate because of that.

Anyway, that's about it. Going to go ahead and attempt to configure the client now and get my wifey signed up for the forums. Looking forward to seeing you in Norrath.

None of them because SOE's vision sucked monkey balls.
Closest old school server is P99 but you have to really enjoy the punishment of slow slow slow exp and about 0% chance of a group.
PEQTC works to stay on par with EQ Live in most aspects.

P99, Progression, Clumsy's World are more "old school' while PEQ TGC tries to follow live. The others contain a lot of custom work.

Thanks for the fast responses and input. I created a toon on the "secret Forest," (or Hidden Forest, forgive if I got that wrong) server and remade my first toon (basically), and I see the most of the original content [at least in GFey and BB Mts] is in tact. Started my newbie armor quests already and hit 10 pretty fast considering I was soloing. Guess it does beat hours of tedious laboring. The fact that I have like 74PP is a little insane, but hey I can cope.
Big kudos to the devs/mods here, I think your server stability is better than SOE Live [last I remembered SOE Live]. I suffered no lag or bugginess, didn't fall through any floor tiles and die 5 miles below the zones surface, zones loaded hella fast, and all in all, I totally am satisfied.... Much better than expected!
