Default Sourcing data in MySQL

Greetings .. First time "post" so go easy :p

I've just hopped onto the EqEmu band wagon, and after 3 days of reading through the forums and tweaking this and that, I think I've finally got it going. A question, though.

I'm using the new versions of everything, fresh patch, etc. I've installed all the necessary programs on my "server" computer. I sourced the data form the new patch, onto my Eq database, and I noticed that there were alot less files that were added to the database.

On my first attempt I sourced the resource.sql file from 3.11, and waited a good minute and a half for it to get done.

I've a feeling I'm missing some files from the fresh install (didn't use the resource file)

Ok, so my question: After finally gretting onto my server, my character logged into "arena" a zone that looked like Queynos. There were no merchants, nothing. Am I right in guessing that I need to source a few more files into my database? If so, which ones? Because I'm guessing the DB.sql file that came with the new patch doesn't have EVERYTHING i need.

My install wasnt fresh, but I did drop my database and redo it since I'd been playing with it a lot prior to the new release of this version (3.12)

If I'm correct you need the db.sql, dbupdate.sql (same as the one in 3.11) and then you can use the 3.11 addon (run the batchfile to install it as per the readme included with it) and be up to date as far as the emu database goes.

I think this is what I read yesterday, and is what I'm running off of, it looks as complete as it ever has before.

Ah, much better..

Merchants are there, I'm in Cabilis..

I am having a problemwith the merchants, though.. whenever I access them, it boots me out. The Zone window gives a message saying it can't find something (should have written it down).

Hmm...

*Nods*

That's what it says when I hail them

If I try to acess a merchant's inventory it CLOSES the window that's holding the zone, and the world wondow says:

Unknown opcode: 0x3541 size 2056
Unknown opcode: 0x3941 size 2056

Oh .. and are you supposed to start with nothing in your inventory?

Starting items are defined in the database..

Shouldnt be crashing when you hail them.. I'd guess it might be a funky database problem. What version of the DB are you using?

Hailing doesn't crash them, trying to buy things does..

Using the new 3.12, as well as the 3.11 addon and Dresourcefile..
