Default eqitems runtime error 53

Just recently started to run a new server. It works perfectly fine, save for a few NPCs that aren't working/floating in the air, but I'll figure that out on my own.

My problem is I want to edit my server, mainly the items in the game. So I downloaded George's Tools and his eqitems editor. I can get all of his other tools to work, NPC editor, etc. However, eqitems fails to load for some reason.

Here is the logfile:

creating log entry
Identified user:root
Identified database:peq
Identified host:localhost
Identified everquest_folder:d:\Games\Everquest EMU\everquest\
Completed getting user info
credential output to screen ok
Call to ODBC open connection started
Call to ODBC open connection created
Call to ODBC open connection string completed
Call to ODBC open connection open
Call to ODBC open recordset started
Call to ODBC open connection completed
Open RS with sql: SELECT value FROM variables WHERE varname='DBVersion'
Recordset version returned: 070_pop
Starting music: d:\Games\Everquest EMU\everquest\deaththeme.mp3
Started music: d:\Games\Everquest EMU\everquest\deaththeme.mp3
Splash returned no error-connection pass/ok
Splash request to load MAIN program started
Started Main ok
Started to read all init *.txt files

For some reason it can't get past that and I have no clue as to why.

The error I get is "Runtime error '53' file not found" yet I can't find this anywhere online nor can I figure out what's causing the problem. Any help on this would be appreciated.

I know myself personally I don't use Georg's tools. Its not to difficult modifying items directly through the db and you have no risk of another program screwing your db up completely. I'd recoend just modifying them through like heisisql ect. But thats just me

I don't use the tools either, but...

I'd say it's looking for a file that ends in .txt that it uses for initialization.

Was there one you were supposed to create? Did you miss something in the install instructions?

Did the install fail to create one or more files?

Did you install an upgrade by mistake instead of a full install (I don't know if GeorgeS does this)?

I had considered both suggestions but for some reason I was at a complete loss as to what I should do. If I can't get eqitems to work I'll just stick to raw editing through the db. I just remember a couple years ago I had gotten eqitems to work and I liked using it. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll see what I can do.

There is an item editor in the EOC:
