Default Broken Skill Ups

Hello,

I do not receive skill ups relating to weapons/offense/defense. Tradeskills appear to work fine. I have altered the database quite a bit but not the code.

Please advise.

Look in your skills and make sure they are not at 0 ... if they are at 0 go to your class trainer and put a point in it then try to lvl the skill and see if that works... my skills wouldn't advance until there was at least 1 point in them

I'll give that a shot and post results.

Thank you.

All of these skills should level from 0. If they aren't then there is an issue.

Tradeskills do but the combat ones have not.

I set rules_values back to 1 for the skillupmodrate or w/e it's called some time ago and still nothing.

What other DB tables will affect skilling up? I changed the skill_caps table to reflect classic caps. I changed max level in rules_values to 50. Would this cause a problem with skill_caps?

Thanks

Putting a point into the skill does not seem to trigger anything.

I was able to get them working. It seems the mistake I made originally was changing the rules_value, Character:SkillUpModifier to a portion of 1 rather than a portion of 100. Glad it was simple.

Thanks to those who offered their help.
