Level 86+ Hp issue

I know beyond level 85 there are issue but I was hoping it was a client issue due to level caps in older expansions. Has anyone been able to get the hit points to function properly beyond level 85? Every time I take character from 85 to 86, I lose almost 7k hit points and the hit point bar will only climb to about 80 percent. Do I have something set wrong or is this a limitation of the code itself?
