My troubles

I have done a bit of digging but there is so much information it is sometimes difficult to find out exactly how to solve the problems that I have.

Here is what I am currently trying to do.

I want to have my own Minilogin one man server.

One of my immediate problems is when i type in "world.exe flag eqemu 200" after performing all the previous steps of the follow through perfectly. It says something along the lines of 'Error cannot find eqemu account so cannot flag.' This is my first problem.

My second problem is after setting everything up when i try to run Boot5zones.bat it will load the first window. Then begin to load the 5 zone.exe's. When it loads up the first one it says 'zone has caused an error in ZONE.EXE' so I am forced to close this.

My 3rd problem is upon logging in. My server is always LOCKED and I cannot log into it. But this is probably because of my second problem

Another thing I notice is when I try to log in and I look at my minilogin.exe and world.exe programs it says something like 'wrong name/pass: name='eqemu'' 'Removing client etc.'

I use EQ windows and I use South Western Bell DSL set up with Ethernet... Can anyone help me out with this stuff? It would be GREATLY appreciated.

Problem 1: You cant flag the account unless it exists, therefore you have to actually have the server functioning and log into it once to create the acct in the database, thereby giving you something to flag.

Problem 2: Make sure you moved spells_en.txt to the eqemu dir, and see if its giving any errors before it crashes and burns. Start first by running Minilogin, make sure there are no errors. Then run world, make sure there are no errors. Then and only then, run boot5zones. Make sure you've used 127.0.0.1 as the ip in boot5zones.bat, at least I think that's what's recommended.

Problem 3. Correct. It has everything to do with problem number 2. It will continue to show up as locked until you get at least 1 of 5 zones to boot properly.

You were right thanks, it was because i forgot to copy spells_en.txt after I reinstalled the emu on my computer.

I have another quick problem though. My Boot5zones.bat works perfectly but everytime I try to log in to my now unlocked server this happens..

The minilogin.exe says New client from IP: 127.0.0.1 etc.
Then it says Client disconnected (eqnc->GetState()=102)
and finally it says Removing client from ip: 127.0.0.1 etc.

Meanwhile, my world.exe says this:
New client from ip: 127.0.0.1 etc..
then it says Wrong name/pass: name='account'
And finally Removing client from ip: 127.0.0.1

My zone files work perfectly this whole time.. the only error I get when loading up the world.exe is 'Loading EQ time of day...Reading time file failed, bytes read: 0 failed'

But then it works fine after that and I have been able to log onto other EQ emu servers with this error so I figure there is nothing wrong with having it.. but maybe not.

Your account name to log into your server is "account" ?

Check in your miniloginaccounts file, make sure you have added your account name there as well as the ip 127.0.0.1

It still is not working even after I modified the MiniLoginAccounts.ini with IP ACCOUNT PASSWORD (I filled in the blanks appropriately).. is there anything else that could be wrong?

Oh and the name to my account was not 'account' i just put it like that
