Colors are screwed PLz Help

I've read every possible post and reply to everything pertaining to a color problem, to no avail it did not help me so here is my problem, I am running EQ on a 500Mhz laptop, 16bit color dept, 64mb ram, It's not all too bad i guess but anywayz wheni run EQ EMU with either the patchme method or EQW it loads fine, the setting for video are all set to low 640x480 low setting, i can log into servers fine but when it goes to the Char. Selection screen the colors are all messed up with little blocks of diff. colrs all over with the character roating in the back just fine. I can't read anything at all to selcet my character and such ..pLeaz help me :cry:

i assume you have that same problem in eqlive? if yes: ask their tech support.
if not: copy your original eq-directory, edit eqhost.txt and try again.

update to eqw 2.3 if not already done.
