Default EQ on Linux: Complications!?

Hey guys,

I want to know if EQ can be played on Linux very well. I know it can be done, but it seems that half the users who try have one problem or another. What all is needed to get a good fast run, and is it easy to do so?

Are you asking if the EQ Client can be played really well on linux or the server? If it is the client your best bet is to check out Transgaming. They have it working well under their WineX. If you get it to work and like it I would ask that you support their project. $5/month isn't that bad and it goes to further development into getting Windows games to work through linux. As for getting the server to run on linux last time I ran the server it was stable and took less resources to run than the windows counterpart.

Hope that helps
