I had not previously set up the SMS verification. I attempted to do so today and did not receive the verification code to enter into the field. Thus I can't change passwords on accounts.

Well, if your phone number doesn't work, you can easily fix it by just using a temporary phone number for verification so that you'll be able to receive the SMS

I was setting up a new account for an old-school server and didn’t want to use my real number. Tried Google Voice, but couldn’t get access from my region. Ended up using https://sms-verification-number.com/en/ - got a US number with T-Mobile compatibility. Code arrived in about 50 seconds. Since it’s a real SIM-based number, not VoIP, the activation went through first time. Used the same number later for a Discord setup - still active within the 20-minute window.
