What is with the patch server? i need to ask

why wont it connect i have been afraid to ask but i want to know... can someone tell me if its either down or its got a different way to getting into the game cause from what i am told the servers are up or something so can someone tell me how to get the patcher to work???

I don't understand - why do you believe you need to run a "patcher"? Point me to the place where you read that a patcher is necessary to connect to EQEMu.

your quick, im asking because like the complainers, i really like how you guys can handle the pressure, i just wanted to know if there was anything i could do that would help me get on to the game and i really appreciate you not yelling at me i'm sorry for asking i was lost out of the loop....

Patcher is down because people were abusing it. The only way to play on any other server is to have a backup of EQLive last patched 12/02. If you don't have that, you can only play on 5.0 servers. Don't ask for the files on here if you don't have them, it's considered warez.

You dont need to ask, you need to start learning how to look around on the forums, the news section is a VERY good one to start with for info on the patcher, here is a small quote:
