Default i'm really confused, can someone help me

ok im following the readme but i cant connect to the EQEMu servers please tell me what i am doing wrong.

First i open EQW up and i locate the patchme.exe and i have no boxes checked except fix eqclient.ini

It loads up the game and i am presented with the screen telling me to enter my station.com username and pass. Well typing my EQEMu pass in here doesnt work as it just says that i need to update my client.

I thought u werent supposed to patch, or are u meant to patch using some EQEMu server or something?

Can someone go into a bit more detail as for a newbie the manual is a bit vague.

thanks

If you're just now trying EQEmu for the first time, chances are you have the latest EQ patch which does not work with EQEmu.

You will have to wait untull EQEmu 0.4.2 is released.

NO ETA.

I am just loading EQ for the first time. Isnt there some way I can manually patch without installing the Jan 9 patch? If not, can I backup certain original files and overwrite the ones that were changed on Jan 9?
