Default Simple question about EQEMUpatcher

Because I see a lot of people getting errors connecting to the patcher server could somebody post a link to the correct everquest files that the patcher would normally download?

It's nice to have this patcher but if it does not work an alternative solution to manually download would be nice.

Thanks.

Ok i had this problem... It was because of my firewall/internet security. If you turn that off then you could patch. It never helped me though i can't find the patchsrv.dat.

...I had the very same problem with that, but I heard something it being a server problem... anyway... just keep trying to run the patcher every few minutes (or hours, or whenever.) It will eventually work... just keep trying at different times. (If it is a server problem, clicking it a thousand times in 1 minute isn't going to help... so space the attempts out.

I understand lots of people have this problem so could somebody just zip up the files needed and put them on this website? That would help out many people and stop a lot of this so called "whining".

Thanks.

ah there is the problem... That is regarded as warez. So illegal (so pipe down that request) the problem i think is that this version of patcher is looking for something which is not there or that the patcher is looking for a file which is only present with some types of EQ eg/SoL or other expansion pack sets. (btw i have plains of power and would like to know what all the other people with this problem have)
It is not whining. If we didn't apply our... 'Constructive Criticism' the emu would stay like emental cheese - holey. Feedback is a logical component to any evolving system.

i think hogie was refering to people nagging them for an update or a bug fix rather than informing them.

Interresting, ive got plains of power installed on mine aswell. That mite make sense about certain files applyin only 2 specific versions of the game. The question is, how can we get hold of these. Mine refuses to bypass the patchsrv.dat file, and its nowhere to be found :S

I rather stupidly used the regular EQ client to update the game (since I hadn't touched it for a while) before trying to logon to the Eqemu servers. So I'm screwed since the patcher isn't working, I'm suffering from the 'runtime error (insert lots of numbers here) - can't find patchsrv.dat'. Failing that being sorted out, from anyone's experience, do they how long it'll be until the devs are up to date with my files?
