1017 in ME

Tried to connect to forever hacking, and a few others.. still 1017 :( i dont know what to do :(

Do a thorough file check with the EQLive patcher, and then run the EQEmu patcher to re-download the necessary files.

Well, i did a check, got some stonebrunt files... and when i run the EQEMU patch, it says, "cannot connect to patch server" :cry:

There's your problem. so i'm assuming you never downloaded the patch files from the EQEmu Pather. No wonder you're getting 1017 error.

You need to get the patcher working. did you install the mdac update?

I have the same problem. I have full patch for EQ and ran EqEmu Patch 3 times....still does not work. I just got the server working last night and it worked fine, now today when I try to login to my own server i get 1017. I use EQEmu for login server because everytime i try with minilogin i get an Invalid Version. I have XP and have checked everything suggested for this problem under XP and all other things i have read but still no luck. Please help.

Please disregard the above post i just realized what i did wrong and i feel like a total idiot. I'm so used to having a static IP that i forgot I no longer had one and forgot to change IP address in .ini
