Default Playing offline

Alright I would like to play offline with all the privileges and everything, do I need to set up a server and somehow protect it? Or do I need to set up a lan server? If theres is a much more simple way please let me know because the things that you need to do to get a server up and runing are quite complicated.

Thanks

Thanks Monrezz. The only thing though, is that Drawde's ReloadDB.sql appears to eliminate much, if not all, of Telmet's DB additions in his add-on by following this method. This was just the steps I'd taken to get my own setup working & playable as it had progressed (since I'd started out before Drawde's newest DB release & just added that in when available). As such, all but Telmet's db.sql may not be necessary to source in when using Drawde's DB additions. I'm still fairly new to database management in MySQL, so I'm not as knowledgable on this as some of the others here (advice welcome from those in the know), but I'm learning. If one of the experts here cares to offer their critique & advice, I'll edit my first post to reflect any updated information as it becomes available.

Cybermax posted some basic instructions for including Telmet's spawns with Drawde's without them being overwritten here, but when I tried that, it resulted in a lot of duplicate NPCs in towns (cloned merchants everywhere, stacked right on top of each other). With some patient editing though, that could be the better way to go to include more spawns. I'm going to try taking a look at editing out all the duplicate spawns & then trying his method again. I imagine it'll be pretty time-consuming though, so it may take awhile. If someone else has already done this, please do us a favor & share your results.
