Default Will try to simplify this. Not a noob question. Please help

Hello,

Basically, I set up a server. I did not use minilogon. I am behind a router, so I used a name.no-ip.org in my ini's.

PC 1 runs the server. PC1 can log in and play also.
PC 2 is on my network. I changed the host file and now it can log in and play also with me.

My server is on the list and not locked. It shows 2 people in it.

My question is.. PC 3 is external using dial up. PC 3 can log into most servers except mine. Always gets the 1017.

I was thinking PC 3 wouldnt have to change anything to get in. I tried changing his host file with no go.

Since I didnt use minilogin, I assume PC 2 is logging in threw the internet, not LAN.

Is there something I have to change to allow external people in? I would have thought my server would have been like anyone's else, EG.. Krushers, etc..

Any ideas? Do you need more info?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Do you have open port and IP free access on your router for external user?

I ve an router too, and i need select all port i want to use with some programs if i want these work.
Exemple some P2P need opened port.

And Apache need allocate others users to acces an specific IP after router.
Exemple, i need open IP 192.168.0.2, server, and port 80.
