Default Which would be faster?

I've got a 350 pentium with 512mb of pc100, and a 900mhz 640 of pc133, and a 100mb switch.

What would be fastest:

350 running mysql
900 running world/login/zones

or

vice versa

or

900 running both

I'm not on high upload (256), but I'm still trying to get the optimum setup here, I'm trying to do my own DB's for PoP loot. I don't know which one has more load, world/login/zones or the sql db itself.

Thanks a ton,
Acolyte

Default

probably the 900 running both...

mysql isnt a very heavy application (as far as database servers go, not like oracle). The bulk of it's work is done on zone startups/world startup.

For most server setups, I don't see the point in seperating out the database / world box. Your probably better off not having to read the database off the network for a simple server setup.

Just my 2 cents.
