Default Router settings

I am using a computer that connected to a router and then to a cable modem. What, if any ports on the router, do i need to set or open to allow EQemu to work properly?

Per what everquest runs if you want to run outside your router,
7000, 9000, 5999 are a must for primary connections.

1025-65535 covers all the secondary connections you'll ever need to worry about, but don't worry about those.

Also 5998 is a secondary that you might want to set up first if you have any probs with the first three ports. Hope this helps.

Default another way

Personally I just set the DMZ to the ip of the hosting computer. It is less secure but the only thing on that computer is EQEMU and the suporting stuff.

Thanks for the advice. I am not running an emulator i am just trying to play the game on guildwars. My follow up question is:
When i get into router settings there is a blank space labled "trigger" then the next space is for one or more port numbers, What number do in put for trigger?

:worship:

thanks for help.
