Default File extension .cpp??

I've heard of numerous people editing files with the .cpp extention on them but what I was wondering was where these files are coming from and how are they relating to anything with the program? I've tried doing a complete file search of my hard drive (including hidden files) and haven't found a single one. Sounds like alot of things can be altered in the game if someone was able to edit these files (if they had them ).

/em wraps his arms around his head and gets ready for the bashing and bonking from developers....

.cpp stand for "C++". They are source files that need to be compiled with a compiler.

You can get them using CVS. If your next question is "What is CVS?" then look a couple topics down where I asked that same question.

.cpp is code. You compile it in a C++ compiler, and it makes a program (if you did it right). eqemu has a lot of .cpp files if you download the code. If you downloaded the one with .exe files, then you probably don't have the code.
