Help me!!!!

Ok I followed the Windows Installation thing Step by Step..

That Stupid Mysql Program is confusing.. Dont know what the hell im doing.. Nor will I ever.

Everthing opens fine. (Oh.. Im on a LAN. Behind a firewall. I just wanna Set it up so me and the people on my Router can Use the Server.)

Ok When I installed Mysql and set it up and finaly opened it.. It didnt ask me for a Username and Password.. It already had one?. Is there a Way i can reset this?


I tryed it with what it had.. I dont know what im doing. This is so Confuseing right now.. I really wanna mess around with this tho.

I open World.exe Then Boot5zone thing. I have already Made a account with Eqemu. I get to the Server Select Screen and I dont see my Server.. First I named it Nilla Wafer. Then Home Lan.

I have Read one of the Other Posts and it said something about the port has to be 5997 .. But when one of my Files starts up.. (When I run the World.exe file) One of the ports says. 5999.. Dont know how to change that.. So maybie that is one of the reasons i cant get it to work.?? Maybie not.. Please help.

According to the Windows Setup read thing.. That is how you set it up.. Now I dont know why it isnt working.. maybie Because i just want it to run for me and people on my Router.. But If anyone has any Idea what im talking about please Please Tell me.

Oh one more thing.. When ever I try to login to one of the Other Servers.. It well start loading.. But when it is suppose to go to the Char selection screen it just give me the Error. You might need to repatch to get the latest verison.. Or something like that.. I have patch.. Because i still play the Real game.. Under the Host.txt file it says.

And I think it is suppose to be 5997 for the port..

To change your Username and password in mysql

1.) go down to the system tray, right click on the stoplight icon and click on "show me" in the popup menu

2.) winmysqladmin should come up, when it does click on the my.ini Setup tab, there, towards the bottom you should see this

password=123

change these then click the save modifications.
You'll then need to restart your computer for it to take effect.

Ok When i Changed Host from 5997 to 5999
I couldnt Login to the Server Selection Screen anymore.. So that didnt work.

Ok well I Got my Server up on the Server List with all the other ones on GotFrags.

Not a New Problem.

When I used to try to get on a server It would do that Loading thing at the bottom of the Screen .. You know where it says Loading Velium Graphics and stuff like that.. Now it doesnt even try to load that. And This is the Error it Give me..

I had the same error until I did a few things. Since you are also on a LAN, maybe this will help. 1st, I updated my router's firmware. Just goto the router companies website and download the firmware upgrade and install instructions. Next, I enabled port forwarding for ports 9000 - 9005 (protocol UDP). Also, if you use EqAdmin tool, make sure you do NOT set your account up with a password in advance or you will not be able to connect. I kept getting the 1017 error until I set up a different account and tried that one. Good Luck.

YOU NEED loginport=5997 at the bottom of loginserver.ini


if your using minilogin then make it 5999.

How do would i enable the forwarding ports to 9000-9005?


I Already put 5997 at the bottom of loginserver.. Do i need minilogin Up?

Port forwarding and the port you use to connect to gotfrags are 2 different things entirely. When you forward ports, you are opening ports to allow internet users to connect to your network.(ie to play on your server).

These are instructions for Linksys router:
1 Goto start menu and type "run" (without the quotes)
2 Type winipcfg, hit enter.
3 Cut & paste the "default gateway" into your web browser.
4 The default password is "admin"
5 Click the "advanced" tab
6 Click the "forwarding" tab
7 type in the ports to open, select the protocol and "enable"

Thats it, you're finished!

If you are using different hardware, then consult with the manufacturer for instructions, or read the manual that came with your router.

The answer to you 2nd question is NO. You don't want minilogin running. That is for a personal server ONLY. Hope this helps.
